Augmented Pixels launched a new crowdsourcing platform for 3D mapping the Earth

May 13, 2021 – Augmented Pixels Inc (Palo Alto, CA, founded in 2013), a technology company specializing in 3D mapping, simultaneous localization and navigation, launched a crowdsourcing platform for 3D mapping – GlobalMap.AI .

Aiming at creating the earth-scale 3D map to ensure precise location sharing and smooth cooperation on the same map by mobile phones, AR/VR devices, and robots, Augmented Pixels invited everyone interested to join their global mission.

The company built a community of people called Global Mappers to create 3D maps of public places throughout the globe offering them compensation in cash or GlobalMap Coins for their inputs.

“We believe that fairly paid 3D mapping will guarantee a higher quality of maps and faster movement to the mission compared to similar gamified yet free initiatives” – stated Vitaly Goncharuk, Founder and CEO of Augmented Pixels Inc.

In addition to the crowdsourcing platform Augmented Pixels announced the development of the GlobalMap crypto exchange that will be released in August 2021. This platform is being created to purchase 3D maps of public places, commercial, industrial, office, hospitality, and other facilities in GlobalMap Coins.

The demand among enterprises willing to buy 3D maps and localization services will ensure the liquidity of GlobalMap currency and motivate global mappers to earn coins.
