I am glad to inform you about the following news from Augmented Pixels:
1. Partnership with Etron Technology (Taiwan):
All our current and potential clients are interested in the final result – how SLAM works with specific sensors at the specific CPU for a specific use case.
Therefore, we start partnering with chip and sensor manufacturers to provide our clients SLAM together with full reference sensors design and CPU/DSP.
We are pleased to announce the start of cooperation with one of the best manufacturers of 3d cameras – Etron Technology (Taiwan).
The first presentation of a 3D camera from Etron Technology and our SLAM took place at Computex 19 expo, where we received great feedback from potential clients.
We hope that our cooperation will be fruitful!
2. Intel SLAM t265 versus AP SLAM:
Intel recently released t265 camera with SLAM at Movidius chip
Since data(stereo + IMU) from the t265 3d camera is available, we created a demo where we run Intel SLAM and AP SLAM on t265 + Ground Truth in real time, so it is possible to compare quality, robustness and other metrics.
We cannot share any recorded videos (due to legal issues) and describe how good our SLAM is comparing to Intel solution, but happy to provide a live demo on request in our office in Palo Alto, CA.
Nevertheless, we are pleased to see such solution on the market, because it reflects market capacity.
Our SLAM supports MONO and STEREO cameras and works on processors like Snapdragon 835(CPU + DSP), ARM a15, etc., giving our clients the most cost-efficient solution on the market with the best quality for robotics and AR/VR Glasses!
3. Augmented Pixels traditionally supports EECVC, the biggest conference for CV/ML engineers in Eastern Europe.
This year we expect around 400 participants from 9 countries. The conference keeps its concept (attendance is free, but only for confirmed CV/ML engineers), but will be held in two days instead of one.
On the second day, we will hold panel discussions with successful investors and deep-tech entrepreneurs.
The goal of the second day is to improve understanding of market among CV/ML community.
