MaxiKoltuk – an Augmented Reality Game for Promo Campaigns at Cinemas

We released MaxiKoltuk, an Augmented Reality game for promotional campaigns and user engagement at the cinemas.

MaxiKoltuk is as a part of an interactive marketing campaign Empati Reklam agency created for their client İşbank (Turkey). The game aims to promote MaxiPara Sinema Kart, a special edition of Visa prepaid cards at the Cinemaximum theatres.

MaxiKoltuk is a fun western-style AR shooter to be played before movie starts. Visitors of the cinema can play the game at the cinema (markers are attached to the front seats) or get MaxiPara Card and use it as a marker wherever they go. The plot of the game is simple yet catching: shoot bad guys and don’t hurt good ones. Points earned in the game can be exchanged for a free medium-size popcorn at the Cinemaximum theaters.

An immersive game allows creating addicting extraordinary experience for the cinema visitors and increase MaxiPara cards adoption. MaxiPara Sinema Kart is used as a marker for a game, thus increasing brand recognition.

The campaign was launched in Cinemaximum chain including 62 cinemas in 24 cities around Turkey.
