2013 Highlights and Year Review

As New Year is approaching we recall all the great things happened and plans developed. We would like to highlight and share with you the greatest moments of the year 2013. 

            Investment of the year:

1338911578_aventures-capitalIn February our company has raised funds from AVentures Capital in a Series A investment round. Getting investment allowed us to continue new developments and marketing initiatives to expand our international presence.

            The brightest products of the year:

We released 3 major B2B augmented reality apps for 3 different fields: games (Reality Hoops), retail promotional B2B solutions (WarBot) and real estate B2B solution (ARHouse). Reality Hoops creates the feeling of a real basketball game with additional tricks that cannot be done in real life but easily realized through the app. WarBot supports an engaging shopper marketing strategy to increase sales in retail stores.ARHouse provides a unique innovative experience to view architectural projects by means of 3D and augmented reality.

            Introduction of the groundbreaking technology:

After half-year of engineering experiments we released a new Augmented Reality technology aiming to bring high quality AR to the market. New technology eliminates the known issues and flows of other available technologies, such as slow tracking, unstable image tracking indoors with artificial light, limited distance to marker image, etc.

            The acknowledgements we are grateful for:

– Shortlisted for “Best Developer 2013” award at the AR Summit 2013

– Nominee for TheNextWeb Ukraine Startup Awards 2013 as Best Mobile App

– Nominee for 2013 Auggie Award: Best AR Campaign (AR Basketball mug by Paladone) and Best Augmented World Awards Start-up.

            Events of the year:

This year we participated in 4 international events and expos. At AR Summit 2013 (London, UK) and Augmented World Expo 2013 (Santa Clara, CA)Augmented Pixels represented itself as a leading technology provider, while at Brand Licensing Expo 2013 (London, UK) and Shopper Marketing Expo (Chicago, MN) we could meet with our potential clients in retail and marketing.  Check out our Managing Director Vitaliy Goncharuk presenting the company at AWE 2013:

            Outstanding projects and partnership: 

Together with Paladone we have created the first high-tech novelty mug with augmented reality – AR Basketball app Mug, which is available on Amazon.  Augmented Pixels has partnered with mobile media studio LionShare Media to create an interactive experience for the Ghost Army movie premier and exhibition held in the Embassy of the United States in Luxembourg.
